Meet The Vet

I am Dr Amber Zagrodzki. I have spent decades of my life dedicated to the field of veterinary medicine. I grew up in Southern Indiana where I raced endurance horses and worked for my hometown veterinarian from the age of 13. We spent hundreds of hours at the racetrack and caring for backyard horses as well. I rode thousands of miles on the back of an Arabian mare named Saki, and we traveled all over the United States competing together. I knew that vet school was the path for me, and I pursued it with unwavering enthusiasm. I thought I would always be a horse vet. But life has a funny way of taking unexpected turns. With the birth of my daughter came a rebirth of my veterinary career from horses to dogs and cats. I poured my dedication into serving the underserved at the Longmont Humane Society, where I still work part-time, helping the people and animals in need in my community. I had been interested in acupuncture for many years, but kept finding reasons not to take the leap. My own health was the final piece I needed to convince me that acupuncture was my path. I had a nerve injury that caused me to seek out acupuncture for myself. I was amazed at the results, and I knew that I wanted to offer the same for my patients. I decided to study at Chi University, where I learned the craft of acupuncture through Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. This allows me to truly pursue a holistic, individualized approach to each of my patients, which aligns with my goals for my own health and the health of all of my patients. I practice medicine from a genuine place of caring and compassion, and I believe that makes all of the difference.
